Is Pur-hoodia Plus Really A Great Weight Loss Product?

by admin - February 26th, 2010

It’s an appetite suppressant, the best thing you can do is cut down on carbs and sugars, walk or bike for at least 30 minutes a day and drink at least three liters of water a day. Hoodia can help though.

What Is The Best Weight Loss Product??

by admin - February 26th, 2010

Hi, the problem with diet pills—and with diets—is that the body adapts quickly and resists losing weight. Eating more protein helps by stimulating a hormone that reduces hunger. Carbohydrates stimulate hunger biochemically.
Regarding drugs, Wellbutrin is more effective than Meridia or Xenical (and these are both expensive, and insurance doesn’t cover them and they doen;t work very well) and it is very well known as a succesfull drug that works for a lot of people with not many side effects. A combination of wellbutrin and another drug (zonisamide) is being developed by Orexigen in San Diego. Both drugs are already being used as therapeutics and it turns out that when taken together in the right dose, etc. it is VERY effective for weight loss, and it looks like it will be an OK drug to take in terms of not having bad side effects. Why is a combination good? Becasue when you lose weight, the body has multiple ways of sensing this and interprets that the dieter is “starving” and starts turning up the appitite to make sure the dieter doesn’t starve. This reaction is biochemical and it doesn’t matter if the person weighs 110 lbs or 310 lbs. The combination of the two drugs is because the first drug stimulates the biochemistry so we are not hungry and the second one keeps it from being shut down when the body senses we are losing weight.
A totally new drug has been approved in Europe (rimonabant) but I think it has some seriously bad side effects and the FDA has delayed approving here, probably with good reason.
Byetta is a new drug from last year for diabetics that has been successful for people to lose weight if they are diabetic, but it is an injectable, and I have read that it gets old having to inject it everyday. Merck just released an oral drug that is similar, but it does not have the weightloss effect, apparently.
Relacore and corti-slim, etc. I think are probably false advertising, also Hoodia, is probably fake.
Caffeine is OK – but be careful about drinking soft drinks sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. Fructose is metabolized in the body is a way that does not register calories– you still feel hungry and thirsty–and if you have extra weight on you, you are insulin resistant, your body will respond biochemically by wanting more. This can lead to overeating calories really fast.
If your body has extra fat, it wants to add more, biochemically. If you have fat, your body wants you to make more fat. It is the way human beings are engineered. Once you are overweight, your body wants you to get fatter. It is a survival mechanism left over from the Ice Ages and caveman days when there was not much food around, and sending it to fat was the best way to keep it.
Most important thing is not to gain weight any more weight. If you do, get it off immediately. Prevention is the best way to deal with the extra weight problem.

Is Akavar-20/50 A Good Weight Loss Product?

by admin - February 25th, 2010

I tried it for a while… I lost a couple of pounds in a week, but I don’t know if it was because I was dieting and exercising or if it was the pills. What’s hard about the Akavar thing is that you can only take four pills max, and you’re supposed to take two at a time… which means if you eat more than twice a day, you’re screwed. I don’t know… I tried it and I saw results, but then again I’m not sure if it was the pill or if it was just the diet and exercise.

Realistic Weight Loss?

by admin - February 25th, 2010

I am a 6-1 male and I weigh about 270lbs. I have a large frame, so I’m not sure what a realistic weight loss amount should be. According to my body mass index (BMI), I am obese, but on the low end of it. Also, my natural size is larger than most BMI calculators take into account, so I’m not sure if it will be a good measure of my true BMI. My guess is that I need to be around 200 lbs to be healthy, but BMI indexes show I should be much less (relatively unrealistic). Can you help me figure out what a good weight loss goal should be?

Alli Weight Loss Product?

I am skeptical as well as anyone here, but I really need to lose at least 40 lbs. I have read the horror stories about how it makes you have loose uncontrollable stools. I kind of welcome that since I suffer from chronic constipation. I am going to try it in a couple of months because I will be off from work for two weeks. At least I’ll be near a bathroom. Maybe if I need to go out, I can buy Depends. What do you think?

Any Health Side Effect For Weight Loss Pills?

by admin - February 25th, 2010

For the past two months I exercise three times a week, at least one hour during each exercise, eat four times a day mainly fresh salad topped by chicken breast, shrimp, nuts, broiled fish, cheese, ect. Once a week I will have brown rice and twice a week I eat a piece of wheat bread in the morning. With all these effort, I still have trouble lossing fat from my belly.
Now I am considering to take some fat burning pills. Is there any physical side effect with these pills. There are several kinds; Slim Form Hoodia/Patch, Green Tea Natural Fat Burn, Mega T Fat Burn….etc. What would be your experience with these diet pills?
