i need to shift excess weight of around 70 lbs.
breakfast is usually: cereal
lunch is usually: tuna salad wholemeal sandwich or chicken salad sandwich or prawn salad sandwich.
dinner is usually: homemade vegetable soup or homemade vegetable curry with brown rice or homemade vegetable spaghetti bolognais with wholemeal pasta or tuna or chicken pasta salad.
between meals is maybe an apple or pear or low-fat natural yogurt.

You’re eating is fine. Going from sedentary overweight lifestyle to a healthy active lifestyle usually shows results fast int he first few weeks. However it will slow down to 1-2 pounds a week. Enjoy the weight loss while ya have it! keep it up. the results months down the road are the best ones :D

Looks fine. The reason weight would pile back on is this: when you don’t take in any calories or only very, very few (i.e. when you starve yourself or are starving), your body adapts after several days to store as much energy as possible because it is scarce. It does this by slowing down the metabolism.
When your metabolism is slow, and you suddenly change back to normal eating habits, you will pile on back all of your weight.
On your current diet, your metabolism will not slow down enough to do this. Exercise is another way to increase metabolism.

read the serving size of all that you eat…add up all the calories of what you eat in one day and see what the number is…decrease this number the next time you eat by <300 so say your intake was 2000 calories…subtract that by 300…eat a healthy cereal or something healthier than that…whole wheat bagle with a sprinkle of cinm and an apple with orange juice (or sumthing like that) :) good luck keep up the excercise and you’ll be fine…
